"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love" - Ephesians 4:15-16
PURPOSE
Growth groups are vehicles to help people grow in their knowledge of Christ. They are also vehicles to help the elders shepherd the church [know, feed, lead, & protect the sheep].
GROWTH GROUP BENEFITS
- Smaller groups generally facilitate deeper relationships (more transparency and trust).
- Growth groups provide more personal accountability, care, and encouragement to each individual.
- Growth groups facilitate discussion and the opportunity to ask questions to better understand Bible teaching.
- Growth groups provide another discipleship “touch point” during the week outside of Sunday worship service(s).
- Growth groups facilitate interpersonal acts of service.
